I picked up a film camera once I started really committing to the more artistic side of photography. Sadly, I ended up throwing away a lot of them due to an unpleasant connection many of the photos had to a bad point in my life. It ended up being about a thousand photos. I should have been more selective, but it was something that I couldn't wait on for my own sake. This time period started a three-year hiatus for me.
